| Ger Kirrane is a 27 year old singer songwriter from Dublin. He spent his formative musical years playing on the Irish circuit with several covers and original bands. In 2001 he got the oppurtunity to join up with one of Ireland´s favourite bands, The Fureys where he played keyboards for them on their Irish tour. He plays several instruments from the piano, guitar, harmonica and whistles to the bodhran and accordion. In 2004 he released his own single in Ireland for charity with all the proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society. With the help of Adam Clayton from U2 and Fingers Crossed Films they produced a music video which aired on Irish television in 2005. In May 2005 Ger moved to Spain as a break to work on his own material. He spent the last year gigging around the Costa Blanca and is now back in Ireland to gig his own music around the country. He has supported bands such as Aslan, Republic of Loose, Finbar Furey, Thomas Kitt and many more acts and will be releasing an EP by the end of the year. |
